Happy Halloween to my boys. They were a pilot and a co-pilot this year. Carter was really excited about his mustache, I must say it was a nice finishing touch!
My baby Keaton turned 2 this weekend! I can't believe how fast it flew by. It seems just like yesterday we were sneaking into the hospital to have him delivered. Planned C-sections aren't a surprise, so in our own way we tried to add the element of surprise and not tell anyone what day he was coming. Keaton has been a true blessing from the moment he was even a twinkle. He is very easy going and quiet, and likes to play by himself or just Carter most of the time. To start off the weekend Jason and I tested positive for either influenza A or Swine flu on Thursday. It hadn't hit full on yet but we had gotten the Tamiflu just in the nick of time. Friday was Keaton's birthday. Luckily I had gotten his birthday shopping done a weeks prior and my mom saved me with some Christmas wrapping paper. But Friday was also the worst day of the flu for me. Jason was still running a fever and sick too, so my Mom came and got the boys for the day so Jason and I could rest. My Mom was a life saver that day. Carter was not going to slow down for anybody who had the flu. Mom and Dad brought back the boys tuckered out and ready for bed, so we held onto Keaton's presents for later. So this morning Keaton opened up his first present which was a motorcycle he had picked out 2 weeks ago and that I hid from him when we were checking out and he forgot about it. I think I will do my presents for the boys from now on that way, let them pick it out and hide it so they forget about it until the birthday comes. Then there is no guessing on what they want. He play most of the morning with it and didn't want to bother with the other presents much to Carter's dismay. Eventually he did get around to the others and had a good time with those as well. Grandma Wendy even stopped by with a gift and kisses for the birthday boy. Today was also a better day for Jason and I health wise. I didn't think I was going to die today like I did yesterday. It being Halloween I didn't want a flu bug to stop my boys from having some fun. The home made costumes turned out better than I planned and was a big hit. Originally, the boys where all going as pilots and myself would be a flight attendant, I had a funny red wig and everything but I didn't have the same gusto about it as before when I felt good. So instead I tried to get Jason to dress up as "H1" and me go as "N1" and wear the hospital masks out trick-o-treating. Jason didn't go for it. So we stood out in the yards while my boys knocked on a few grandma's doors and went to the stake's trunk-o-treat and tried not to get to close to anyone while my boys got their fill of candy. I tried to look chipper and not like I was "draggin my wagon" so people wouldn't suspect we were germ bags. We only stayed for maybe 30 minutes at the trunk-o-treat and it was time to go home. I really tried this weekend to make it a good one for the boys trying not to let me being sick get in the way. Jason has been a better happy camper than I have, which I really had to pat him on the back for because it is "uber" hard to do when you are sick. Jason even cleaned part of the house and did some laundry while we were at home sick, that was resting to him he can't sit and do nothing, being inside cooped up all day is really difficult to him. I just really wanted a good book, but going on the hunt for one at a local library with the kind of germs I have got was not an option. Tomorrow will be even better because the birthday party will continue with a birthday cake and hopefully our health will improve tomorrow too!

Your boys looked absolute adorable on Halloween. I'm sorry you were sick. I was for Haley's birthday and it is no fun! I'm sorry I missed getting to visit with you. I hope you keep getting better.
