Preschool Graduation May 2010!

Carter was so excited for his big day to show off all he learned at preschool. He defiantly has a hunger for learning and is even beginning to read. He cannot wait for kindergarten.
When Carter marched out to receive his diploma, Keaton wanted a hat too. His hat wasn't big enough for his big ole head, but he wore it proudly!

The big 28.

Really, 28 wasn't that big. But what do you do when you don't have money and a hubby that is gone ALL the time. Jason was more than glad to greet me into being 28. I was dragging my feet about it. I told myself the older I get the bigger and better gifts I will receive....right....well it was a thought anyway to cushion the blow of getting older. I have no pictures because nothing really went on, it was the same as any other day, which from what I hear is normal with getting older. me and Jason told each other that we would make birthdays a big deal, because it wasn't at my house growing up. I think we are sliding down a slippery slope of being bores with our birthdays, but for the boys I think we are doing pretty good so far. I did get a maternity dress from my mother-in-law and I bought myself a lemon meringue pie. So Happy Birthday to the Jen who wishes she was 21 again.

Oh Boy Now I Got 3!

So me and Jason went to a doctor's appointment on Wednesday. The doc promised me we could take a little peak to see the gender this appointment so I held him to it. At first the baby's legs where crossed but suddenly everything came into view and Jason exclaimed, "It's a boy!" and started laughing with the doctor confirming. The boy parts where hard to miss. I seriously didn't know whether to laugh hysterically or cry hysterically. I was disappointed and really happy at the same time and it was a jumble of emotions. I was hoping for a girl, but had an inkling that it might be a boy. All three pregnancies have been a little different so I really didn't have an idea as to the gender. Jason just kept on saying that it was just going to be a boy. Well he was right. So now I need to find new things to get excited about the whole boy thing over again. My first thought was Halloween I could dress them up like the Three Amigos or something like that. Then I thought maybe they'll get to play football together. Then I thought that my boys were so cute that I will have all kinds of girls calling my house all hours of the night when they are teenagers...I will have to turn off my phone. I also began to think that I will have three boys that can mow the lawn and other hard work around the house for me, that thought made me happy. But Jason already said that Pa needed more farm hands so that means I have to share them. Strong strapping farm boys, yipee! So I quickly reminded Jason that he said that I could adopt a girl, he said he didn't remember saying that. Darn it! I should have recorded it! But I think it would be really great to travel to Europe and pick up some cute little baby, Jason isn't sold on the idea. Oh well, I guess the boys will be our thing. I am greatly outnumbered and I am still raising Jason.

Cotton

Sunday we went for a drive to check the cotton to see if it is pushing through and the tops of the needed to be knocked off. I think Jason was trying to get out of going to church and blame it on the cotton. He goes to work at the mine at 5:30 in the morning and then goes straight to the farm after work and most nights does not get home till after 9 at night. He has been working really hard and I hope it pays off.
We checked the cotton in our pajamas and threw rocks in the canal. The boys love it outside.
Right now Carter is cheaper than the mexicans, but I don't think that will last long. He is quickly learning about the value of money. He probably will get that tube to start and be the best irrigate guy on the farm in a few years. It's in his blood. Starting tubes is hard and you have to have a big enough hand to cover the hole. Carter's paws are wide with short fingers, so I think he'll be perfect.
After we checked the cotton we went to go check on a cattle chute. We were leaving and told Carter to get in the Yukon, he was playing in the chute. He got his whole body out, but his head got stuck coming on his way out. The kid seriously has a big head. I laughed so hard, it was probably the funniest thing I've seen in a long time! Jason went and helped him out.
