Karma

Clumsy Jen broke her foot. I guess it was karma coming to me. I had had a pretty rough morning with the boys to begin with. Carter woke up before 6 and was trouble from then on. Well it got to the point were he said he was going to break my door down, while I had it closed getting dressed, well he tried to do it with a plastic sword. Well it didn't go over so well because I ended up breaking the sword in half and throwing it out the back door. I stomp back to my room and jammed my foot into my ever so solid bed. I heard a snap and immediate pain. I couldn't decide whether to curse or to cry. Keaton was sitting on the floor laughing at me! He thought mommies' faces and body curled over my foot was pretty dang funny! I didn't think so at the time but maybe I will later. Well I made it through the rest of the morning went to a funeral and on the way home we stopped by Uncle Rex's office and got my foot x-rayed  and booted up. Anyway, Keaton and Carter have this thing where Keaton yells "NO!" at Carter and Carter yells back "You're not the boss!" Well the funny thing is they both think they are the boss. Yesterday Carter got in trouble for something and I sent him to his room. He yelled back, "I am going to slam  my door really hard!" Well he slammed his door over and over again before I could hobble down the hall. Well he slammed the door so well that the closet doors behind his bedroom door were knocked off their tracks with a big hole in one of them were the door knob hit. The thing is, is that he always tells me what naughty thing he is going to do before he does them.  So all the naughty is premeditated. I had a neighbor say oh he'll grow out of it at 4 but I am still waiting, I think I am in for it! Was I a very precocious child and am having the karma come back to me in full force?

Another Day With Carter

So yesterday Carter was on a mean streak. Not one of his better days. So when I asked him to get dressed it ended up with him getting some spanks. After that we were on the way to Grandma's house and in the car he was still not over the previous situation. He said, "Mom, you broke my heart in two. Don't you love me anymore?" I told him that I did love him and that he needed to listen to Mommy. I was laughing, I probably shouldn't have but it was so funny he really is starting to know how to play me, the stinker. Then later that evening I had the boys loaded up in the car to go home when he pulled out his balloon pump and started blowing air into Keaton's ear, which Keaton did not think was funny at all! So I threw the pump out of the car! The whole way home he was screaming and I was doing my best to ignore him. Well he then proceeded to get my sunglasses and tell me, "Mom, I am going to break you sunglasses." So he did, he broke of both ear pieces and broke out a lense. So I remained calm and continued to drive home when he said "Ha ha sucka!" First of all, where in the heck did he learn that?!! Second of all he just pushed the wrong button. Well when he got home he didn't like the fact that all his chore money ended up in Mommy's purse for some new sunglasses. I let Jason handle it after he got home, he does a better job at the discipline thing anyway... let's just say he came to and understanding after that.

Camping in Luna for the 4th of July!

We drove up friday to Luna to camp with Derrick's family for the weekend. It was a real pretty weekend with nice weather. It even rained.
This knot on Keaton's head happened within an hour of being there. Nice.
Eating junk all weekend is mandatory when you are camping.
Waiting for the fireworks to start in Springerville. They started 30 minutes late, so we ended up waiting for two hours. So we got some rocket balloons to entertain us until they started.
This is where we wanted to watch the fireworks from. But Keaton decided he like watching the fireworks better from inside the car. Jason even played "DJ" for the event and played the Battle Hymn of the Republic blasting from our car. If being dirty is a fun-o-meter, then the boys had a wonderful time camping. I think we were wore out from it all because when we got home we all slept really well!

How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You!

Jason took me on a date June 13th to Tucson. I planned it and he did the work. We doubled with another couple and went to the Gaslight Theater. We flew there and flew back. Had a great time and felt like high rollers for a few hours. That date is a once in awhile type deal due to financial constraints. Ha Ha! What a good husband to be willing to fly me were I want to go.

Silly Summer Things.

Well for the summer we have just been hanging out. Carter has been doing T-ball and swim lessons. Keaton we are just finally getting him use to the pool. We went to the Phoenix Children's Museum and played. Carter went fishing with his Dad yesterday for four hours and they only caught a one little fish, but they had a great time. He has been begging to go for a long time. Keaton is just happy to go see Grandpa Griffin. Jason has been really busy with work and flying. My little hair shop has been so slow, my shoe money is down to flip flops! No stilettos for the Jen! Anyway, happy summer days we are having. Last night Jason and Carter got back from fishing about 9:00 p.m. and so we decided to grill up some hamburgers real quick. Carter started talking about how he needed a little sister to take care of. He said Carden had one and now he needs one. He asked where they came from and I tried to skip that part. Well I asked him what she would look like. He told me she would have curly hair and have one blue eye and one green eye. I asked if she would be tiny or big. He said "as big as me." Well I was thinking this conversation was getting pretty funny and asked him what her name was. His reply was "Leasia." Well I thought not bad for a four year old picking out names for a pretend sister. He then quickly told me that we needed to buy her a pink fishing pole for the pond. I told him alright that was a good idea. He said we needed to buy her a kite too. He told me he needed to teach her how to fly a kite when it was really windy. I don't think Jason liked were this conversation was going, because he really likes the idea of having a bunch of boys. So he told Carter to stop talking and eat his dinner! It was a really funny conversation around the dinner table, and no I am not announcing ANYTHING! Babies are spaced out at my house! Carter pretty much takes up any extra time that might allow extra kids at my house. Keaton is a gem and Carter is cute but he is just a busy, requiring full attention kind of kid. I love my boys!
