Cotton

This is our first year of cotton. We went on a ride yesterday to check it. Looks like its growing pretty good for being planted late. Sorry the pics are blurry, there was a finger print on the lense. Jason worked really hard getting the pivot put in. The pivot is the first here in the Gila Valley, he is really proud of his work. No more irrigation tubes for us! Yes, I know the lens is dirty...its banana fingerprints. I found it when I got home.

Geeze!

Why can't anyone sleep in a bed around here? Like father like son I suppose. This is after Jason's night shift, poor guy he was tired and wasn't planning on going to sleep until it was the normal bed time. When he does that he gets loopy and gets pretty funny!

Kitchen Table

This is my new kitchen table. I had a yard sale to earn the money for it. It's my country farm table I have always dreamed about.

First Day of Preschool!

So Carter had his first day of preschool with Kim Crockett and Gail Bryce as his teachers. He calls Mrs. Crockett, Mrs. Crickett. I ask him what he learned and he tells me all about the slide, cookies, songs, and playdough. I am sure there is some quality education mixed in there that he just hasn't notice. He has been trying to sing the ABC song but can't get it, it is pretty cute to listent to. He thinks he is hot stuff in his new clothes. He is posing just for the camera.

ThE BluRry-Eyed BloG continued...

Have you ever tried to put a stubborn three year old to bed? Very urgent matters seem to always arise. Examples may include but not limited to "Mom, I need a drink of water," "Mom, I need to pee, I am already starting!,""Mom, tuck me in my feet got out,""Mom, you forgot to say goodnight sweetheart," and maybe even "Mom, I'm hungry my tummy is growing bigger." I think I have heard them all from Carter and maybe even some new ones! This happens mostly when Jason, of course is on his night shift. Lately, after all the excuses ran out, Carter sneaks out of his bed and hides in weird places and falls asleep. Most of the time I don't hear him, he is pretty darn sneaky. So I'll be walking around, locking up the house at night and I'll find him in some unusual spot like the laundry room floor or under the coffee table sawing logs. But heck, at least he is asleep and he is still little enough I can carry him back to bed.

ThE BluRry-Eyed BloG

So Jason works night shifts every 8 days. I am not so good at the night shifts, I don't sleep until 4 in the morning when the sun starts coming up. I have weapons stashed around my whole house and some of the doors boobie trapped. I also double check all the locks every night. So this is not a new thing, in college I slept with a baseball bat and mace, just ask my old roomates! Well, now that I have kids, they like to sleep in their own beds. I can't say that I blame them, its just that its a little harder to have a slumber party with grandma and grandpa. Carter also knows when daddy is on night shifts he can be extra naughty and try every trick in the book to get out of bed. So on nights like this...the night shift...I have decided to post my "blurry-eyed blog" to pass the time until 4 in the morning. Maybe I should try doing my homework, naw too ambitious! Its interior decorating classes, I think any designs after 10p.m. might be a little on the weird side like "mad hatter-esk" it could very possibly start a new trend in the design industry buts lets not risk it. Maybe I should try counting sheep, but I only got a milk goat and a couple of donkeys out back to count, I could try throwing in some chickens in the mess. That may be a little too close to a petting zoo for comfort. I don't really enjoy dimeatap and if mommy woke up with a hangover she would be useless. Only two more nights to go until Jason has some days off, maybe one day I'll get use to it. Jason has had night shifts for over a year, but very possibly I will resort to counting donkeys and sleeping with a baseball bat.

Jason's Project

This was Jason's project this week. He took his dad's 22-250 and refinished it. He is very proud of it so the next time you see him bragg on him a little bit!

Luxury!

Well, being in my interior decorating courses I am learning a lot of new things, including that my tastes are very expensive! Champagne tastes on a beer budget...no, I take that back...a tap water budget. I am trying to go for this new design called hotel chic, but alas the denero isn't supporting my creativity....Jason will probably roll his eyes once I put up a chandelier in our room! This was my project today that took all afternoon. Starting with washing all the new bedding and then having to iron it all. Putting the down comforter into the duvet cover was a wrestling match but I finally won! This is the only thing in our new room but one good trip to Hobby Lobby and a pick-up truck that will soon be fixed! One day I might even get to enjoy this bed and get a full nights sleep!

Trouble!

These boys seem to find trouble around every corner! I guess it comes with the territory of a 3 year old! But ya know what, you can't separate them because they absolutely adore each other and then at the same time they can break out into a fist fight!

These are my boys...at least I am still the cutest girl at home!

A Crack Up!

This is what makes my day! This is his first all over chuckle.

Halloween at the hospital.

So we were present for Halloween at the Hospital. Carter was a LION for Halloween and Keaton was a peanut! Carter went trick-o-treating at the nurses station in the O.B. His lion costume seem to do the trick and he made out like a bandit! They had stocked their candy bowl with candy body parts, so Jason got into Carter's candy and had a little fun. See what I had to put up with all week at the hospital! At least Jason was having fun being a big goof ball! I was sad I missed out on the trunk or treat with Carter, but something tells me I wouldn't have liked getting up and walking around a parking lot!

My Keaton!

Keaton Rex Bryce was born October 30, 2007!  He was a scheduled c-section that we didn't tell anyone about. The only people that new were Jason and I. Plus Bonnie but she had to watch Carter. We just called everyone up a few hours after his delivery so that we could get a few moments alone together just us three. He was a 7.5 pounder and he was born in the afternoon. When they peaked him up over the paper curtain for me to see I was so excited because he had blond hair and he was Jason's mini-me! His little brow was wrinkled up like "hey what the heck is going on!" He has captured my heart and is my little sunshine. If I could have every baby like him I think I would have half a dozen! But there are no guarantees, I'll have to wait to see if what he is like when he is three! If he is anything like Carter I think I would call it quits! He is so pleasant mannered and sensative.  He is the apple of his daddy's eye and it is fun to watch them interact.

Pregno Lady....

These were the only pregger pics allowed, only for documentation purposes. So I felt huge because of all the extra water I was carrying around, but I only gained in my belly area, yeah I looked pretty funny. Plus, I spent most of my pregnancy on bed rest in my recliner (which was the best purchase I have ever made). Totally worth it because I got my sunshine!

Donkey Rides

Who needs a pony?! We have Jorge the Donkey in our very own backyard!

Fish Body Shop

So we have had these two gold fish for over a year. I think they cost us something like 27 cents. Well Carden came over to play with Carter and they were playing for awhile and I decided to go check on them they were too quiet. So I peaked into Carter's room and nothing seemed out of the ordinary until I peaked at Carden's hand, there was something orange in it. He said "lets fix it with the tools." I still didn't clue in until I walked over to see what they were "fixing," I freaked! I looked over at the fish tank and saw that the other fish was gone too! "Boys! Were is the other fish?" Carden calmly walked over and said "it fell behind there," meaning it fell behind the dresser. So I took the fish from Carden put it back in the tank and moved the dresser out and found the other fish and put it back in the tank too. The one that was being fixed by the boys seemed to be more dazed than the other. I think the fish that fell behind the dresser was relieved to be hiding back there. The little trooper fish seem to be okay and there will be no toilet funerals  for the time being. Both boys had to go have a talk with Jason, that seemed to do the trick.

Just an update to this story...the fish gave up the ghost this morning. They just rolled over and died. I guess they were tired of being manhandled! I can't say that I blame them, I mean they did try to jump behind the dresser and hide from two precocious three year olds with a hammer and a screw driver. Its funny they held on for two days and then decided it wasn't worth living anymore under these circumstances. Hazardous times they lived in.

Coyotes Beware!

This is Jason's shining moment for the time being....

Man Fishing Trip

Carter went on his first man fishing trip. Prep started the night before by getting the SpongeBob fishing pole ready and then managing to get it tangle around every piece of furniture in the house! Then bright and early the next morning the Men started out at 5 a.m. The day ahead was sure to be full of manly stuff like burping, scratching, and etc. Carter turned out to catch more fish than his dad and even held his fish up proudly for pics. When getting out of the man boat he only fell in the pond once! He returned home triumphant, dirty, and with a huge kool-aid mustache grin plastered onto his face! Real men need naps after the manly fishing trip thank goodness!

Squirt guns....

So today Carter decided to put fruit punch in his squirt gun and squirt it in my house! How do you discipline a 3 year old when you spank him he says "You missed me mom!" and when you start counting "1, 2..." and he answers back "and 3/4."
