Jen-remember I said that chickens STINK bad. But you can't beat fresh eggs, you're right. But if you ever get a meat hen and think, "I'll just let it be a layer instead. I can't kill the poor thing." You'll eventually kill it out of mercy! They get so fat so fast they will die of a heart attack. We ended up with a 12 lb. bird that way. But oh so tasty (finger-lickin' good!)
